ReRoot Flat is a high-strength, non-permeable HDPE root barrier designed for deeper installations and demanding ground conditions. This 2mm thickness combined with a 1.5m width makes it well suited to deeper trench applications where increased coverage and strength are required. Supplied in roll format, it offers the flexibility to follow curves and changes in direction while maintaining the rigidity needed during installation and backfilling.

Also available in alternative thicknesses and depths to suit different installation requirements.

Materials and Structure

ReRoot Flat is manufactured from 100% recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE), providing a non-permeable barrier that is impervious to moisture and resistant to root penetration. The material also offers strong resistance to chemical and biological degradation, ensuring long-term performance in the ground.

This variant is supplied in a 2mm thickness and 1.5m width, offering increased vertical coverage for deeper trench installations. The wider profile reduces the need for joins in deeper applications and supports consistent root containment.

Produced in roll format, it can be cut to suit the installation and installed along curved or irregular alignments. It maintains the rigidity needed to hold its position during installation and backfilling, supporting consistent trench formation.

Benefits and Core Uses

  • High puncture resistance allows installation in compacted ground conditions
  • Maintains form during backfilling, reducing risk of deformation
  • Roll format allows installation along curved or irregular alignments
  • Provides effective containment of invasive species, including Japanese knotweed • Protects paving, structures, and buried services from root intrusion
  • Fulfills Arboricultural Advisory and Information Service guidelines for root barriers
  • Joining tape can be used to make an effective joint
