What is a barrier for Japanese knotweed?
A Japanese knotweed root barrier, usually a geotextile or membrane, is material barrier used to block the roots and rhizomes of the highly invasive plant. The knotweed barrier can be installed vertically to prevent spread from neighbouring properties, or horizontally further to the removal of knotweed rhizome as an extra preventative measure. Only specialist products that have been tested specifically as root barrier for Japanese knotweed and installed by a professional root barrier installation company are advised.
Uses for Knotweed Barrier
Stopping Japanese knotweed encroachment is fundamental since spreading this weed from one property to another can be seen as a private nuisance.
