We are the Manufacturer Appointed Distributor of CuTex, the only geo-composite permeable root barrier membrane in production that has been independently against Japanese knotweed. CuTex is created using a copper sheet mechanically encapsulated between two polypropylene geotextiles, forming an innovative and effective permeable root barrier that creates both a physical and chemical barrier, making it an ideal barrier for Japanese knotweed and other invasive species. CuTex can be physically bonded to itself and many types of building construction at foundation level, forming an incredibly strong seal.
What is permeable root barrier membrane?
Permeable root barrier is a designed to prevent plant roots from encroaching into undesired areas, such as building foundations, pathways, or driveways.
The barrier is made of a permeable geotextile membrane, which permits the flow of water and nutrients while preventing the penetration of roots.
Frequently referred to by it’s use - examples being permeable weed membrane or permeable tree barrier - this type of membrane is also particularly useful when dealing with invasive species such as Japanese knotweed, which can cause damage to buildings and infrastructure if left.
