FlexiRoot Root Barrier (0.6m width) is RBS' highly versatile and durable root barrier, that's not only economical, it's highly flexible and easy to use. With an impressive 4409 N puncture resistance, FlexiRoot is suitable for bamboo barrier, tree root deflection and Japanese knotweed encapsulation.

Our FlexiRoot root barrier is formed from a woven HDPE base material, reinforced and coated with a triple layer of LDPE film. Like any highly flexible, non-permeable root barrier it is recommended that this product is used in conjunction with a protective sand layer or protective geotextile in most situations.

When using FlexiRoot as a bamboo barrier, ensure that the root barrier is protruding more than 100mm above ground level. Bamboo rhizome (areal roots) will try to so extend over barriers placed in their way, therefore it is important to periodically inspect the root barrier and the bamboo activity.

Fantastic service and product (Bamboo barrier.)

Fantastic expert advice given for my particular need. We have yet to use the Bamboo barrier as we are still digging the trench. However, on first look the barrier looks extremely robust and perfect for the job of keeping our new bamboo screen in place.

FlexiRoot is built around a tough, woven HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) material core which is reinforced and coated both sides with LDPE/LLDPE film. This versatile membrane is suitable a range of applications, including those that involve installation into confined and/or complex spaces. Seams can be created by welding or taping.

The following instructions give general guidance on installing FlexiRoot barriers provided by PBA Solutions. Root Barrier Systems are the distributors for FlexiRoot and PBA are the operators. Root barriers will only block roots at the face of the barrier. Correct design and installation are therefore critical.
